Day 45

I went to my friend's yesterday and while I was there it poured rain, thunder cracked so loud I jumped out of my seat, it hailed, and then I headed home as the rain eased up and the skies cleared and I got to look at this (and try not to crash) the whole way home.

I'm trying to draw tea cups for someone who is creating designs to sell to embroiderers such as herself. I didn't realize I sucked so bad. This one took forever and I still have to figure out some kind of design and colors to put on it.

I love the smell of fresh-cut grass. It always brings me back to my childhood. The good parts.

Being as I am the only coffee-drinker in the house, this is how I make my coffee every day. And night. I drink a cup every night around 8 or 9. No, it doesn't keep me up.

Bought a cool cast iron pot that I can't wait to cook something up in! It seems sort of like a "dutch oven" (I'm not sure what the difference is - anyone?) so I wanted to try some "dutch oven" recipes.

I would have posted yesterday, but Jeff had my computer.
I was very upset yesterday when I found the flower pot Meg painted me for Mother's Day last year had fallen and broken. I actually cried. I am going to attempt to glue it back together.

Day 15

Puddins is not an outdoor cat. My choice, not hers. So here she is enjoying what's left of today when the temps hit the high 80's (I'm sure we broke the record, I'll find out when I watch the weather tonight).
I am not so good at keeping up with this daily posting thing. :/

I keep forgetting to take my camera to work so I don't get any photos until later. I wish I'd gone outside before I did; I would have caught a nice sunset.

I went out to my car to get my camera (took it to work but never took any photos) and ran into my neighbor's cat Sammy. :)

I have been sick, so is this Day 11 or just Day 7? At any rate, I spotted this as I walked down to check the mailbox today.

I think I should start taking my camera to work.
I had lunch at a local boat landing.

Saw a wild turkey on the way back and pulled over but it's a crap photo (all I had was my phone)

I really wish I'd had my real camera with me when I ran an errand this evening.

Day 3

I drove around the area I now work in (Shrewsbury/Worcester) at lunch and found a nice big park. I was thinking about having lunches there, then realized that, although there was no parking attendant or fee today, that there was a sign that said parking was $5, gates and a parking attendant booth, so come Summer it probably won't be a free place to spend my lunch break.

Day 2

I had my mom and her dog Lilly over for lunch today. Lilly's so cute and sweet. My cat Puddins wasn't very impressed, though a couple of times it seemed she was trying to get Lilly's attention - she was peeking at her from behind a chair, and then writhing on the floor and looking playful.
